This products is free for those who attended FNCE® 2019.
When dietitians first learn of global nutrition work, the first question often asked is, "How can I get involved?" This session will highlight how RDNs from a wide array of professional backgrounds can get involved in global nutrition work via speakers representing areas of volunteerism, non-profits, government organizations, and public universities.
Strategies for bridging the barriers to global nutrition work will be addressed, including how to build networks with potential partners doing global work and how to identify and access helpful resources. Organizations who would benefit from working with dietitians will be identified. Additionally, potential grants and other funding sources will be discussed. Attendees will leave with a personal action plan of how they can become involved in global nutrition initiatives.
