Engaging Parents for Public Health Reaching Today's Caregivers with the Dietary Guidelines for Infant
This session brings together a USDA Dietary Guidelines communications expert, a pediatric leader from the American Academy of Pediatrics and an RD from the USDA MyPlate National Strategic Partnership B24 subgroup to discuss the needs of today's parents and share consumer insights and resources to help RDNs connect with families of infants and toddlers and help them achieve the dietary guidelines.
The inaugural dietary recommendations for infants and toddlers have arrived and now the role of RDNs is crucial to putting them into action. Understanding the challenges and motivations of today's parents is critical to supporting parents and caregivers in achieving the dietary guideline recommendations for young children.
