This module's goal: Executive managers need a communication toolkit which should be constantly evolving and improving as you have more experiences to draw upon and learn from. Effective communication is the cornerstone of any good relationship and without developing good relationships with colleagues the quality of work can be diminished. It is especially important for managers to be excellent communicators because they are looked at as the true leaders who hire the right people and assign them the appropriate tasks based on their skill set. Additionally, managers are also tasked with assessing, motivating, developing and, occasionally, reprimanding, their staff. Without being a good communicator the manager is unlikely to be successful, effective and satisfied.
