As registered dietitian nutritionists and health professionals in the food industry, we spend most of our time talking about food. However, many of us don’t feel confident when it comes to answering our patients' and clients' questions on food preparation. In order to encourage more people to invest time in the kitchen, we need to be able to help them problem-solve when it comes to cooking. This presentation will provide tips to registered dietitian nutritionists and RDNs-to-be on how to implement medical nutrition therapy in the kitchen. As registered dietitian nutritionists and professionally trained chefs, the presenters will share their knowledge in an engaging session that includes fun and interesting ways to blend culinary techniques with nutrition, suitable for anyone and everyone.
