Synergy is defined as "interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects." Synergistic public/private partnerships are the paths being used to increase engagement and help maximize public funded programs.

This session will look at innovative approaches to federal nutrition education programs, initiatives and research which serves as the rock of diet-related chronic disease prevention in our country. The presentation will provide insights into two state models each with a little different focus, but both with nutrition education synergies and partnerships, Minnesota Food Charter, and Iowa Nutrition Network.
