The Nutrition Care Process and Model was created to help highlight the unique contribution of dietetics practitioners to health care outcomes. While the four steps used in the care of individuals are often emphasized, outcomes management is an additional "outside the process" model component that is vital to achieving that ultimate purpose. Pioneer RDNs will use their experiences to teach other expert practitioners how to take their practices, and the profession, to the next level with outcomes tracking and management.
They will explain the impetus for their projects, obstacles encountered, and their solutions. They will share their outcomes data and describe the impact that data had on expanding their programs. Our speakers bring experience from unique settings (corporate wellness and a community diabetes clinic) and varied technology solutions, such as Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Access) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Health Informatics Infrastructure.
