Led by esteemed experts in obesity care, Dr. Donna Ryan, and Dr. Katherine Saunders, this live webinar will delve into the complex landscape of the pathophysiology of obesity, the physiology of weight loss care and the use of the new anti-obesity medications.

Dr. Ryan will provide a concise overview of the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying obesity and the complexities of short- and long-term weight management. The risks and benefits of weight loss, and safety considerations surrounding rapid and extreme weight loss.

Dr. Saunders will cover the spectrum of the new anti-obesity medications (AOMs) and what's in the pipeline. She will cover their mechanisms of action, reported weight loss efficacy, and potential health benefits beyond weight management. Additionally, she will discuss the criteria for prescribing AOMs and the ins and outs of their titration.

These well-known obesity physicians will advocate for collaboration between prescribers and nutrition professionals and emphasize the important role of registered dietitian nutritionists in comprehensive obesity management. RDN's will gather strategies to facilitate referrals from prescriber colleagues and how to foster an interdisciplinary approach to individualized obesity care.
