Speakers

Mary Angela Miller, MS, RDN, LD

Mary Angela spent 15 years as Nutrition Services Director at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, 13 years as a healthcare administrator and now as an adjunct instructor in the College of Medicine, Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. She is an industry advocate, was elected as president the National Association of Healthcare Foodservice Management, the State of Ohio's Dietetic Association and is a past Chair and current delegate to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on behalf of dietitians and technicians in Food Management leadership roles, MFNS. She is also passionate about food safety.

Prior to OSU, Miller served as a Nutrition Service Coordinator for the Cleveland Clinic and as Wellness Program Director for a large medical practice. She earned her BS degree from Youngstown State University, her MS at Case Western Reserve and an executive certificate in Healthcare Management from OSU. Miller, also known as "MAM, the Food Safety Dietitian," is a small business entrepreneur, founder of KeepSafe Food, offering consumers products to "Protect their Plates" for personal food safety.

Heather Dugan, BA

Award-winning author and speaker, Heather Dugan, is the founder of Cabernet Coaches®, an "all ages, all stages" group for women that fosters self-betterment through face-to-face friendships and social connection. Her books include The Friendship Upgrade: Trade Clickable Connections for Friendships that Matter and Date Like a Grownup: Anecdotes, Admissions of Guilt & Advice Between Friends. A graduate of Indiana University, Dugan has independently produced and appeared in hundreds of video and voiceover projects for a wide range of national and international clients.

Her articles and advice columns on business and professional relationships, travel and health eventually led her into book publication. Dugan's spotlight on the disconnecting factors impacting personal and professional relationships creates larger conversations on creating space for connection and building stronger communities within organizations. Her focus on fostering more meaningful relationships, facilitating effective communication, and equipping men and women for life-changing transitions makes her a popular speaker and relationship expert for companies, communities and the national media.
