Speakers

Eileen Myers RDN, LDN, CEDRD, FAND

Eileen is currently a nutrition and healthcare consultant. Eileen has received excellence in practice awards from the Weight Management, Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition, and Behavioral Health Nutrition Dietetic Practice Groups of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She authored three editions of her book by Helm Publishing called, Winning the War Within: Nutrition Therapy for Clients with Eating Disorder a teaching manual for clinicians working in the field of eating disorders which focuses on using motivational interviewing and a cognitive-behavioral approach. Eileen has taught and written about Motivational interviewing throughout her career including consulting with business and industry to incorporate motivational interviewing in their professional toolkits.

Suzanne Brodney PhD, RD

Suzanne is a Senior Program Manager with the Informed Medical Decisions Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has experience in developing patient decision aids and implementing and evaluating shared decision making in clinical practice. Her research interests are focused on how patients use the scientific evidence as they decide on the best, personal choice when making a health-related decision. Suzanne received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, her MS in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Texas-Houston School of Public Health. She has held the credential of RDN since 1994 and has served as a member of the Coding & Coverage Committee and the Medical Nutrition Therapy Effectiveness Workgroup, as well as the Reimbursement Representative and Public Policy Director for the WMDPG.
