The start of 2021 marked what the World Health Organization has declared a “Decade of Healthy Ageing”. A complicated physiological process, aging incorporates changes in multiple domains of life beyond, but related to, health. The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and the Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) can play a role in improving the quality of life and health outcomes of this population by making small and large changes on multiple levels to address the triple threat of malnutrition, frailty, and food insecurity in older adults.
