This webinar was presented live on February 6, 2020.

Recent developments in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) treatment have required re-thinking nutrition care for individuals with CF. Improved treatment options have increased longevity for many patients, but it is unclear how they may affect nutrition status and how nutrition status affects lung function and other outcomes. RDNs must adapt nutrition counseling to accommodate a population facing longer lives and higher risk of chronic diseases, but little evidence-based information is available to guide practitioners. Speakers will describe results from systematic reviews conducted by the Evidence Analysis Center examining appropriate nutrition assessment measures, the relationship between diet and nutrition-related outcomes, and the relationship between nutrition status and hard outcomes for patients with CF.
