Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) is increasing in prevalence and is getting diagnosed at all ages. Symptoms of EoE can vary depending on the age of diagnosis so it is important for the clinician to be aware of the cluster of symptoms and when to refer to a gastroenterologist for further testing. This webinar is designed for the dietetics professional that has a limited to an intermediate knowledge level of eosinophilic esophagitis. It will discuss the different elimination diets, how to safely implement an elimination diet, and frequency of follow-up to promote efficacy. The webinar will also discuss how to conduct a food allergy focused nutrition assessment to identify gaps in the diet. Attendees will also learn resources to help families develop survival skills to successfully manage this condition on a daily basis. This webinar will also address eating and feeding issues that may arise as a result of negative experiences with food.
