Speaker

Manju Karkare, MS, RDN, LDN, CLT, FAND

Manju Karkare, originally from India, has a breadth of experience in acute care, community nutrition, employee health and wellness and private practice. Her private practice is focused on culturally competent weight management, chronic disease management and food sensitivities. Manju received the Diversity Leader award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012 and Outstanding Dietitian of the Year from NC Affiliate in 2018. She was inducted into the Cooking Matters Hall of Fame in 2016 for her role in nutrition education in low income communities. Manju has served in a variety of leadership roles at district, state and national level, most recently as the Past Treasurer of the Academy Board of Directors. She continues to give back to the profession through her involvement in DPGs and MIGs.
