What classes of products does the Academy sell?

  • Downloads
    These are products (PDFs or Zip files) that the customer downloads to their local computer after receiving an email.
  • Site Access
    These are products that require a login to access the product after receiving an email. These products are not stored on the customer's local computer.
  • Physical Copies
    These are products that are mailed to the customer.

Fill in all the requested information on the order form, including the "Bill To" and "Ship To" addresses, daytime phone number, purchase order number, credit card number, expiration date and signature, and shipping and handling fees.
If applicable, include Illinois state tax of 10.25% or your tax-exempt number.

Before faxing, please check your document to insure that all information is visible and dark enough to transmit legibly. Please do not mail in a confirmation copy, as duplication may occur, resulting in additional costs to you. Price adjustments may not be given after the order is processed.

How Soon Will I Receive My Order?
Domestic orders are shipped within two weeks of our receipt of your order. Certificates require a minimum of six weeks for hand-lettering. Customer imprints require four to five weeks.

What If I Need It Faster?
Rush delivery to U.S. addresses may be requested on telephone and fax orders only. For pricing information, call Customer Service at 800/877-1600, ext. 5000, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Central), or fax your request to 312/899-4899. Rush orders placed before noon (Central) will be shipped the next business day.

What Is The Return Policy?
We recognize that sometimes the unexpected happens.

To return physical goods: If there is a mistake with your order, if goods are damaged in shipping, or if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call Customer Service within 30 days for full credit and instructions for exchanges and returns at 800/877-1600, ext. 4887, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Central time. The Academy must authorize all returns in advance and issue a credit request form to you before the item is returned. The credit request form must be enclosed with the returned item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

To receive a refund or replacement for electronic goods such as eBooks, downloads, or online toolkits (excluding mobile apps): If there is mistake in your purchase, or if the product does not function as expected, call Customer Service within 7 days of purchase to discuss exchanges and/or refunds at 800/877-1600, ext. 4887, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Central time. Sales of mobile apps are handled through the app vendor for your phone or tablet and must be cancelled through the iTunes or Google Play store. To contact the iTunes store, call 800-692-7753. What Are the Academy's Policies for Bookstore Sales?
Bookstores are allowed no more than three months from the date of purchase to return merchandise for full credit. For full credit for products (excludes shipping and handling) and instructions for exchanges and returns, please call Customer Service within 30 days at 800/877-1600, ext. 4887, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central time. The Academy must authorize all returns in advance and issue a credit request form to you before the item is returned. The credit request form must be enclosed with returned items. Credits may not be taken unless approved by the Academy.

All merchandise approved for return must be the current edition in unmarked and saleable condition. Out-of-print publications will not be accepted. If the merchandise upon return is not in good/saleable condition, credit will not be issued and the merchandise will not be returned unless you arrange for the items to be returned. Return postage is your responsibility. Electronic/downloadable products are not returnable.

How Do I Check Order Status?
To inquire about the status of an order, call 800/877-1600, ext. 5000, or press option 1. If you already have your order or purchase order number, please have it available when you call.

What If All The Telephone Lines Are Busy?
If the lines are busy, you may fax your order or inquiry to 312/899-4899. Our email address is [email protected]. Or you may leave a voice mail message. If you are inquiring about an existing order and know the order number or purchase order number, please include it in your inquiry.

Can I Leave An After-Hours Message?
To leave a telephone voice mail message during hours that the Academy is not available to take your call, please dial 800/877-1600, ext. 5000.

How Do I Get Permission To Reprint?
All Academy publications are protected by copyright. Except in the case of individual copies duplicated for educational purposes, permission must be obtained from the Academy to reprint or adapt material from these publications. Please fax your completed reprint permission request form to the Academy Book Publishing Team at 312/899-4757.

Can I Get Custom Certificates?
If your order includes a certificate, to ensure accuracy, please submit typed copy with your order by fax or mail. We cannot accept certificate copy over the telephone. Please print or type copy exactly as it should appear. Or call Academy Customer Service, 800/877-1600, ext. 5000, to request a certificate lettering form. Allow six to eight weeks for delivery.

Are There Faculty Preview Copies?
Educators may request Instructor Review Copies of Academy books to consider for course adoption. Click here to submit your request.

Are There Client Education Brochure Preview Copies?
For a single, free sample copy of an Academy client education brochure sold in packets of 25, send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope to:
