Details

Complex adaptive problems, such as diversity, equity, inclusion; sustainable food and water systems; nutrition insecurity; and malnutrition require multidimensional approaches by registered dietitian nutritionists. Training practitioners to expand their toolboxes to include systems approaches, such as the Individual + Policy, Systems, and Environmental Conceptual Framework for Action, can prepare RDNs/NDTRs for societal and workplace challenges. In this session, learn how dietitians have implemented systems approaches to improve complex problem-solving skills, address organizational challenges, and see broader connections between individual actions and actions at policy, systems, and environmental levels.
