The Academy's Publishing Proposal Form will help you think through your project idea before you commit time and energy to its creation.
You can also contact the Academy's Acquisition and Development Editor to talk about your idea and get our feedback.
Some of the questions we ask include:
- Is the scope appropriate for the topic?
- Does it serve the target market?
- Is the format practical and feasible?
- Are the sales opportunities sufficient to support the project?
- Are there competitive products?
All publication projects sent to the Academy Books and Resources Team for consideration undergo a proposal review process, including a peer review and market analysis. The information requested in the proposal helps us and our reviewers make an informed decision.
In addition to completing the proposal, please provide your curriculum vitae, a table of contents or topical outline, and if possible, a sample chapter. You may submit your proposal and supporting materials via email to the Academy's Acquisition and Development Editor.
We will make every effort to respond to your proposal within six to eight weeks. We look forward to working with you on future Academy publishing projects.
