Veganism is a prevalent yet often misconstrued subject in the eating disorder field. Because eating disorders and veganism are both internationally on the rise, clinicians need to increase their understanding of veganism within the context of eating disorder recovery, recognizing any personal and professional bias and how it impacts ethical client care.
Presenters explore and illustrate an adaptable, client-focused, actionable vegan-informed approach to use as a guide when treating vegan eating disorder clients. This workshop centers on the provider and client partnership and the treatment team collaboration, highlighting the importance of a unified relationship between non-vegan and vegan clinicians.
