The terms "diversity," "equity" and "inclusion" (aka DEI) have come under attack in the past year, with several states banning DEI programs and initiatives, colleges eliminating DEI offices and positions and the rise of media outlets substituting the term "DEI" for racial slurs. In an effort to continue the momentum of DEI initiatives within the nutrition and dietetics profession despite growing public discourse, we invite you to join us for a politically unbiased panel discussion on the lived experiences of members from the Cultures of Gender & Age (COGA) Member Interest Group (MIG) culminating in real-world calls to action for nutrition professionals interested in developing equitable and inclusive work environments, care centers, and educational tools.

Learning Objectives
- Identify areas of opportunity within the professional workplace to implement effective DEI strategies.
- Utilize available resources to advocate for inclusive healthcare spaces and direct patient care models/practices.
- Develop culturally appropriate methods of delivering verbal and written nutrition education to the nation’s increasingly diverse citizens.
