This presentation covers factors contributing to malnutrition in bariatric patients, highlights the challenges of conducting nutrition-focused physical exams in sarcopenic obesity, and details safe nutrition support initiation for failure-to-thrive patients at risk for refeeding syndrome. By addressing these issues, healthcare providers can better manage the nutritional needs of bariatric surgery patients, improving outcomes and reducing complications.
