You’ll hear from a panel of experts who work in the field and their perspectives on this evolving area of dietetics. Speakers will cover the entire spectrum from education to practice, including how to get started, principles for practice, collaborating with groups and other clinicians, and advocacy. They will introduce lifestyle medicine and discuss opportunities for incorporating nutrition into educational and organizational programming. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the field and opportunities to get involved and further serve the needs of individual patients and communities.

Speakers

Lindsay Malone MS, RDN, CSO, LD

Lindsay Malone is an Integrative and Functional Medicine Dietitian and Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition. She holds an MS in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Her decade of experience in healthcare and education includes advanced practice at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic and teaching nutrition and culinary medicine at CWRU Medical School.

Robin Foroutan MS, RDN, HHC

Robin is an award-winning registered dietitian nutritionist and leading expert in holistic health and IFN. Robin firmly believes that the body can heal itself when given the right conditions and offers her clients a more natural approach to health and healing by seeking out the underlying imbalances that cause symptoms and using a holistic and biological approach to reversing those imbalances. She sees clients privately through her virtual practice, Nutrition by Robin, and The Morrison Center in New York City. Robin is also a nutrition consultant, writer, lecturer, and media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Robin has an undergraduate degree in nutrition from NYU and a master’s degree in nutrition from Columbia University. She has done extensive post-graduate training in Integrative and Functional Medicine, which has enabled her to address people’s health issues by supporting digestive health, detoxification support, and balancing inflammation.

Monique Richard MS, RDN, LDN, FAND, IFNCP, RYT

Monique is an award-winning Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist who blends personalized nutrition with lifestyle medicine. She has an MS degree in Clinical Nutrition with a minor in Psychology and is an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Monique sees clients in her private practice, Nutrition-In-Sight, where she offers nutrition counseling and consulting services using a person-centered holistic approach. She’s worked in outpatient care facilities serving a broad and diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics with various conditions and nutritional needs. Monique is an avid writer, leader, presenter, and educator, bringing an international health perspective to her work. She is the Past President of the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAAND), a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND) and a 2022 National Media Spokesperson.

Kathie Swift MS, RDN, LDN, FAND, EBQ

Author, educator, and integrative dietitian nutritionist, Kathie expanded her conventional dietetics background with extensive training in functional medicine. A forward-thinking clinician, she maintains a private practice supporting clients with complex chronic disorders. Kathie is dedicated to teaching and mentoring dietitians in integrative and functional nutrition therapies as the co-founder of the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. She is known for pioneering work with the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine dietetic practice group and is certified in mind-body medicine and evidence-based qigong. Kathie is the author of two books on digestive wellness: The Inside Tract: Your Good Gut Guide to Great Digestive Health and The Swift Diet.
