Integrative and Functional Nutrition (IFN) is an exciting and rewarding career path for Registered Dietitians. However, jobs in IFN are few and far between. For this reason, many IFN dietitians choose the path of private practice. However, many practices suffer due to a lack of basic business and marketing knowledge. This webinar will outline a roadmap that allows an IFN professional to market, grow, and profit in private practice. Attendees will learn about several tried and true marketing strategies that bring new clients into the practice. They’ll also learn how to leverage these clients by creating multiple revenue streams in their practice. Finally, attendees will learn how to plan and implement a basic sales funnel, allowing leads to convert to paying clients. Both cash-pay and insurance-based models will be reviewed. These businesses are essential for the growth and sustainment of the important service that IFN Dietitians provide.

Erin Skinner, MS, RD, LDN, IFNCP

Erin Skinner is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP), and former Nominating Committee Chair for DIFM (2021-2022). She is a military veteran with 14 years of experience in healthcare. She holds an MS in Integrative Physiology and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition (DCN) from Rutgers University. Erin helped to build one of the country's first insurance-billed functional medicine clinics, the Inspire Health Center. Erin also has a group private practice, Empowered Nutrition, where clients can access functional medicine via insurance. She is the co-founder of the SIBO Academy where she provides CDR-approved continuing education for integrative and functional dietitians who are specialized in gastroenterology.
