Andrea Campbell Kirkland, MS, RD
Andrea Kirkland, MS, RD is a registered dietitian and culinary expert and the owner of Culinary Med Ed, an online continuing education service which was a 2021 International Forum of Advancements in Healthcare (IFAH) Top 50 Healthcare Companies Awardee.
As a culinary educator and course creator, Andrea is on a mission to empower fellow dietitians to translate nutrition guidance into real-world, personalized cooking solutions for their clients’ kitchens. Early in her career, she worked as a community educator and clinical dietitian which she later left for the publishing and digital industries. It was there where she gained extensive culinary knowledge and experience developing cooking resources for a wide variety of target audiences.
For almost 20 years, she’s worked as a cookbook editor, recipe developer, meal planner, and digital content creator. She was a Senior Editor at Time Inc. Books and produced lifestyle books and newsstand publications for national brands including Cooking Light, Weight Watchers, and Mayo Clinic. During that time, she was an editor for the Lodge Cast Iron Nation cookbook. She’s contributed to Better Homes & Gardens, Epicurious, Eating Well, and Diabetic Living.
