For Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, recipes are an important tool for educating clients, patients, and media on how to create healthy food. Since the U.S. population is diverse and food preferences vary widely, providing culturally inclusive recipes is also an important skill. As nutrition professionals, it is imperative that we not only understand how to develop recipes that are delicious, meet specific nutrition needs and that are easily reproducible, but we must also be able to tailor the recipes to accommodate different palates and culinary skills.
