In this module we present a comprehensive overview of the quality of life of individuals on a gluten-free diet. This module will guide the clinician through the research on the impact of a gluten-free diet and provide the art and science of assessing the factors affecting the individual's quality of life. Key knowledge areas include factors affecting quality of life (including both social and emotional), understanding of the in depth EAL Celiac Disease Tool Kit's comprehensive client history and evaluation tools, issues of compliance, and resources available to guide the client toward their maximum quality of life.

Learning Objectives
- Identify key factors affecting an individual on a gluten-free diet’s overall quality of life score.
- Assess the social and emotional quality of life issues in areas such as dining out/holidays, travel, religion/cultural considerations, social isolation depression, grieving and denial.
- Evaluate an individual's barriers to compliance and avenue to overcome these barriers.
The Certificate of Training program consists of five separate modules that build on each other. To receive the certificate associated with this training, all modules and related tests must first be completed and a subsequent final post test exam after the final module must be passed with a minimum of an 80%. The Certificate of Training can then be downloaded and printed from the site.
