The Dietary Guidelines for Americans provide a framework for nutrition guidance to help improve the health of Americans. Nutrition professionals play a key role in adapting this framework in providing nutrition guidance to patients who represent the rich diversity of the U.S. population. During this session, USDA staff and registered dietitian nutritionists who work with diverse populations will demonstrate how to leverage and customize the Dietary Guidelines to help improve the health of a range of population groups.
