Nourishing Professional Relationships: Mentorships Supporting Growth and Diversity in Dietetics

Your Price $10.00 - $54.00

The professional formality of mentoring can feel intimidating to some. This panel explores mentoring through a contemporary lens and unravel some of the most asked questions about engaging in a mentorship, sharing both research on the value of professional mentorships as well as personal experiences of growth through mentoring. You'll meet a seasoned RDN who discovered mentoring by being open and committed to sharing with peers and students, while also discovering a professional strength and passion. You'll meet an RDN of an underrepresented minority group in dietetics who is a few years into her career and has pursued mentors to gain confidence, growth and experience on the path from student to RDN, and is now a nutrition director at a company where she mentors dietetic students herself. You'll also meet an entrepreneurial RDN and master's student who has engaged in numerous mentoring relationships, most recently in self-publishing and marketing her 3rd children's nutrition book. Speakers will engage the audience interactively, providing resources and a roadmap to establishing productive mentor relationships and tools—and connections—you can use.
