This presentation will begin with a brief review of OCD and its main subtypes. The presenters will highlight the ways that OCD occurs in conjunction with eating disorders and using case examples, common obsessions and compulsions that are experienced by an individual with an eating disorder will be illustrated.

A brief introduction to the gold standard cognitive behavioral approach of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) will also include demonstrations of exposures. Bolstered by case presentation, the presenters will explain the role of collaboration among treatment team members to develop and implement exposures that are related to food/nutrition/dining room environment throughout various levels of care. Discussion will also include the appropriateness and utility of ERP with patients requiring medical stabilization or weight restoration.
