Barbara is a healthcare leader with nearly 30 years of expertise in chronic diseases including obesity and diabetes care, with 20 years specializing in GLP-1 RA therapies, as well as an MS in Health Education. As an RDN and CDCES she has served as a senior consultant and supervisor for Diabetes and Nutrition Education Services.
Currently, Barbara is a key contributor to major professional initiatives for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, including writing for the Academy's President’s Strategic Plan on Wellbeing and Prevention, contributing to the organization's forward-looking mission to improve national health through research, education, and advocacy.
Barbara's dual focus on advanced pharmacology for people with diabetes and high-level organizational strategy ensures that nutrition professionals are equipped to lead in a fast-changing healthcare landscape.

Julie is a bariatric nutrition specialist and researcher with over 25 years of experience in metabolic and bariatric surgery care. She serves as the Chair of the Integrated Health Education and Training Committee for the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO).
She is a Visiting Research Professor at the University of Sunderland, with a focus on micronutrient management, long-term follow-up models, and evidence-based nutrition guidelines for patients with metabolic and bariatric surgery. Dr. Parrott has authored international guidelines, book chapters, and numerous peer-reviewed publications, and is regularly invited as a faculty member and speaker for organizations such as IFSO, ASMBS and the International Bariatric Club.
In addition to her clinical and academic work, she provides expert witness review and consultation in bariatric nutrition-related litigation, bringing a rigorous, evidence-based approach to complex medico-legal cases.

Dr. Patricia Davidson is a professor in the Department of Nutrition at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. A registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist, she has held both inpatient and outpatient clinical positions in nutrition and diabetes education.
Dr. Davidson is actively involved in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, contributing to several task forces including NCPro and RD Standards of Practice. She also serves on the Board of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists and is a past chair of the Diabetes Dietetic Practice Group.
Her research focuses on the prevention and management of cardio-metabolic diseases, disease-specific quality of life, and the role of food heritage, culture, and foodways in tailoring medical nutrition therapy recommendations. Additionally, she explores interprofessional education and collaborative care models for ways to expand and advocate for the role the RDN.
Dr. Davidson is an experienced presenter and has authored or co-authored numerous publications in leading journals, including the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Nutrition in Clinical Practice, and the American Medical Association Informatics Journal.
