Nutrition in Acute Kidney Injury Microcertificate

Your Price $149.00 - $249.00

The Nutrition in Acute Kidney Injury Microcertificate is an advanced-level training designed for experienced registered dietitian nutritionists working in acute and critical care settings. This program builds on foundational renal nutrition knowledge and focuses on the nuanced clinical management of AKI in hospitalized patients. Learners will revisit core principles while deepening their understanding of AKI.

Participants will refine their ability to interpret complex lab data, assess nutritional risk in the context of fluid shifts and inflammation, and tailor macronutrient, micronutrient, and fluid recommendations across AKI stages and dialysis modalities. The course also explores feeding route selection, metabolic stressors, and micronutrient losses during continuous kidney replacement therapy.

This Microcertificate is ideal for RDNs seeking to upskill, validate their clinical decision-making, and enhance their impact within interdisciplinary care teams. It offers a practical, evidence-based framework for applying updated guidelines to real-world scenarios and supports confident, high-level practice in acute care nutrition.
