Hydration Demystified: What Dietitians Should Know About Composition and Claims

Your Price $24.00 - $54.00

The hydration beverage market continues to expand with increasingly complex formulations and recommendations that are often based on marketing rather than evidence. This session addresses a growing need for dietitians to critically evaluate these products and guide clients effectively.

This session provides an evidence-based overview of the key components of hydration drinks including sodium and other electrolytes, carbohydrate concentration, and osmolality. We'll examine the physiological basis for different formulations and explore how these products affect fluid absorption and hydration status. Practical strategies will be shared to help dietitians assess hydration products and make personalized recommendations for clients across a range of activity levels and use cases including pre-during-and post exercise hydration and daily hydration.
