In an era dominated by digital platforms and social media, RDNs have been actively participating in online endorsements and brand partnerships. While these opportunities have been financially rewarding, it's important to remember the Federal Trade Commission's longstanding principles of "truth in advertising" encompass online endorsements and influencer marketing on popular platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
As digital and social media continue to shape consumer preferences and drive purchasing decisions, it's crucial to understand the FTC's endorsement guidelines, what constitutes compensation, the nuances of disclosure, and the legal and ethical implications of endorsement practices to ensure compliance with the law and to maintain the ethical standards of the dietetics profession.
This webinar will empower nutrition professionals with the knowledge to embrace opportunities with confidence and to adopt best practices when collaborating with organizations and brands in the dynamic online influencer space.
