Join us for an insightful webinar on Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) among adolescent athletes, a condition increasingly prevalent and often overlooked in sports nutrition.
In this webinar, presented by board-certified sports dietitians specializing in pediatric nutrition, we will delve into the comprehensive impact of REDs across various body systems including gastrointestinal, bone health, reproductive health, immunological health, heart health, and mental well-being. Speakers will highlight two critical but under-recognized effects of REDs: its profound implications on bone health and growth in adolescent athletes, often resulting in significant stunting and bone density deceleration.
Through detailed case studies and the latest research findings, we will explore the prevalence, signs, and symptoms of REDs specific to adolescent athletes. Attendees will gain valuable insights into evidence-based treatment strategies and practical applications aimed at mitigating and managing REDs effectively.
