If you are an entrepreneurial-minded RDN, now is the time to seek out wellness contract work and generate business revenue like never before! There is ample opportunity for RDNs to approach small businesses, organizations and groups that will benefit financially and healthfully from your creative and evidence-based wellness programming, as they seek wellness interventions for their employees and/or members.
There are countless small businesses, organizations and groups - right in our own backyards, in fact – that need our services!
Many RDNs sell themselves short and oftentimes believe that if they aren't working in a formal corporate wellness setting, that they are unable to launch a wellness initiative. You need not have a formal program in place – opportunities abound that include presentations, culinary demos, one-on-ones, grocery tours, contributing to a company newsletter or blog, and more.
Take advantage before nutritionists get there before you do. Here's what you'll need to think about and prepare before approaching those in need of your nutrition expertise. Learn how to pitch contacts, close the sale, deliver and evaluate success, gain repeat business and more. Gain the confidence you need to approach companies and groups and turn these contacts into contracts!
