Lena is a Registered, Licensed Dietitian and National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, who is passionate about teaching people to live a balanced lifestyle using nutrition and wellness as a guide.

Lena started in research and sports nutrition. She worked in advocacy, serving as Legislative Chair for the Georgia Association of Nutrition and Dietetics garnering a Proclamation for Dietitian Day signed by the Governor. She is a trusted food and nutrition expert appearing often on local television and print media outlets while working individually with various clientele.

Lena is the Cardiovascular Dietitian and Heart Health Media Expert at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, where she now directs nutrition services for one of the top 5 Heart Transplant/LVAD programs in the US. She is a well-published author and guest speaker for medical residency programs, dietetic internships, cardiac symposiums, and corporate and community health fairs.

Lena's career was highlighted in Today's Dietitian Magazine 2022 TD10 Annual Showcase as one of 10 RDs who are making a difference. Her other affiliations include Piedmont Healthcare's Women's Leadership Alliance, the Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior Review Board, Georgia SHAPE Advisory Council, Junior League of Atlanta, and Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
