Join Academy President Livleen Gill for a webinar exploring the U.S. policy landscape and its impact on nutrition and dietetics. Kelly Horton, Academy Senior V.P. of Public Policy and Government Relations, will share updates on the Academy's policy priorities and progress. She'll be joined by Robb Walton and Raghav Aggarwal from BGR for insights into key legislative and regulatory developments under the current Congress and Administration. Topics will include the MNT Act, telehealth, Medicare payment reforms, and more. This session will help attendees gain a deeper understanding of current policy opportunities and challenges, and how the Academy is navigating the shifting landscape. The session will include live Q&A.

Livleen Gill, President of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is President and CEO of Apostle Group LLC, as well as CEO of the Wholesome Village Inc. Livleen is a graduate of Punjab University in India and earned a graduate degree from Punjabi University. She completed her coordinated program in dietetics at Buffalo State University and Howard University. Livleen earned an MBA from the University of Maryland – University College.

Kelly Horton, MS, RDN, oversees the Academy's public policy agenda and advocacy efforts that promote health and reduce the burden of chronic disease through evidence-based nutrition services and interventions. Her role supports the pursuit of legislative and regulatory policies that expand access to nutrition care. In collaboration with her department staff and member committees, her portfolio of programs includes those that impact consumer protection and licensure and healthcare policy and payment.

Robb Walton, MA, JD, is a Principal with BGR’s Health and Life Sciences Practice in which he Co-Leads the Access and Reimbursement Working Group. He works with clients to develop and execute strategies related to payment for health care products and services. Robb helps clients navigate the complex challenges and opportunities in Congress and the administration to drive positive outcomes for their organization. Robb's work is driven by deep knowledge in policy, politics, and process that drive results in Washington, D.C.
