Details

A woman can live between 30-40% of her years after menopause occurs. We know menopause is coming, yet many women are unprepared for the metabolic changes that begin in perimenopause and their health effects. In this session, an exercise physiologist, a women's health communicator, and a telehealth and private practitioner discuss what is and is not known about metabolic changes during perimenopause and how to prepare for what happens next. This session will also cover educational tools that are available across the spectrum - from traditional to integrative--and review how culture-specific approaches may offer relief from perimenopausal symptoms and the health effects of menopause.
