Guidelines now recommend infants be introduced to infant-safe peanut-containing foods as soon as they are developmentally ready to reduce the chance of developing a peanut allergy. Research also supports the early introduction of other top allergen foods to decrease the development of food allergy. This module will review current guidelines and highlight the registered dietitian nutritionist's role in raising awareness of safe infant feeding strategies.
